Acceptance

By using The Ghost ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What The Ghost does

The Ghost is a code scanning tool. You upload a ZIP archive of your project, and the Service returns a report identifying potential issues such as dead code, hardcoded secrets, and TODO comments. The Service is provided for informational purposes only. Results are not guaranteed to be complete or accurate.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload code you do not own or have permission to analyze
  • Upload malware, exploits, or other harmful content
  • Attempt to circumvent scan limits or access controls
  • Use the Service to scan code belonging to others without their consent
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service

Subscriptions and billing

Ghost Pro is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe at $4.99/month. A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers. You may cancel at any time from your billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

Your content

You retain ownership of all code you upload. By uploading code, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of delivering your scan results. We do not use your code to train AI models or share it with third parties. Uploaded files are deleted immediately after scan completion.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that scans will catch all security issues, bugs, or risks in your code. You are responsible for reviewing and acting on scan results at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Ghost and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any losses resulting from reliance on scan results.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
